November 2010 Picture Update & News

Actually, this is more like a September, October, and November update.  My goal was to get these out on a monthly basis, but what can I say... life got the best of me!

September was a fun month, we got to go up to a farm up in northern Colorado and pick our own veggies... you pay an admission and get to take home pretty much all you want.
We also got to take a trip up to Estes Park (Rocky Mountain National Park).  We had not yet been since we've lived here the past almost 5 years, so we figured we were well due.  We drove all the way through the park and back down through the mountains to get home.  We also stopped at Grand Lake on our way home, which was absolutely beautiful!

October was filled with our annual family pictures, a visit from Mimi, Christy & Greyson's birthday, and of course, Halloween.  Harbor was Tigger and Greyson was Eeyore... they're personalities both fit their costumes so well! :)  We had to re-schedule Greyson's birthday party due to the kids being sick... it seems like we've all been sick a number of times over the last few months.  Hopeful, that's all over and we'll spend the winter healthy as can be!

November was fairly uneventful... we spent most of the month recuperating from everyone being sick for the previous 3 months.  We finally got to sink our teeth into our 24lb fresh home raised turkey, which was the most delicious thing I've ever tasted.  I did brine it the day before, which I'm sure made it juicer, but regardless, words cannot describe how yummy it was.  We've already decided that we're going to be raising at least 12 birds for ourselves next year, and a decent number more to sell locally.

Harbor is talkative and crazy as always... she has got quite the imagination.  We got our Christmas tree the weekend of Thanksgiving and she informed me that a polar bear lives inside of it.  We now get daily updates on how the polar bear is doing.  He was very happy when we put the lights up on the tree!
Greyson is running all over the place and has a new joy of playing with his sister.  It's so nice to see them having so much fun together.  He has 7 teeth, and I have no idea if the 8th is ever going to come in!  He's growing up to be such a smart and handsome little boy... he leads us to wherever we're going next in the house (i.e.- tell him we're going to take a shower and he leads us into the bathroom) and he's learning where his nose/mouth/etc. are.
The baby is doing great and growing nicely (belly is growing rapidly as with all my kids!).  Harbor is convinced it's a girl, and we all agree with her, although we won't know for sure till the day it is born.

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and is enjoying the Christmas season.

August 2010 Update

Pictures are FINALLY updated on Snapfish.  I've been slow and behind about getting that done this summer!  We took a quick trip to Michigan in August, so you may notice there is an abundance of pictures (somewhere over 500) that month!  Sorry to bore some of you... you can just look at the ones you want, if any at all!

You can access all the pictures here:
We've had a great time harvesting veggies from our garden this summer, and we are even starting to get a couple eggs a day... not any where near how many we will get come spring!

Greyson took his first steps the day before his 11 month birthday, although he prefers to walk with the assistance of anything (literally, anything... from Harbor's easel to a milk jug!).  Harbor is as talkative as ever and loves playing (and beating up on) her little brother.
Greyson is going to be turning ONE on the 13th of October - (we can't believe how fast his first year has gone) and, his mommy is going to be 30 (ugh).  Not that age matters or anything, but I guess that's a pretty big milestone.
We also have some exciting news to announce - we will be welcoming a third little one into our family this coming spring.  My due date is sometime around late March / early April... we try not to focus too much on that date since so far, both our babies have come 3 weeks "early", although we all know they were not "early" babies at all (especially with Greyson weighing almost 9lbs!).
We will do our best to keep up with pictures and updates in the months to come!
Love,
Kevin, Christy, Harbor, & Greyson
